Your new roleWe are looking for a generalist accountant to perform accounts preparation and tax compliance from start to finish.Key duties will include:

  • Prepare financial statements for a variety of businesses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Manage and oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing tailored advice and support to meet their unique needs.
  • Support the audit team in conducting audits, ensuring all financial records are accurate and complete.
  • Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to clients, helping them optimise their tax positions and achieve their financial goals.
  • Mentor and supervise junior staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

What you'll need to succeed

  • ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounts preparation and tax compliance within an accountancy practice.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
