THE ROLE: Â Â
- Managing a portfolio of clients (individuals and partnerships) in relation to their personal tax returns, effectively managing all client relationships
- Regularly meeting with and speaking to clients to ensure the provision of a knowledgeable and professional level of service
- Dealing with P11D benefits forms
- Dealing with HMRC queries and letters
- Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation
- Assisting in the development of less experienced colleagues, providing training/instruction where needed and reviewing junior team members’ tax returns
- Providing ad hoc advice on income tax and capital gains tax forms
- Dealing with ad hoc/simple ERS returns
- Dealing with ad hoc/basic Trust returns (e.g. nil Trust)
- Liaising with tax specialists as required.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE: Â Â Â
- An experienced personal tax professional currently working within a practice
- High level of personal tax knowledge
- Proven track record in developing and maintaining strong client relationships
- Able to convey specialist knowledge in an understandable manner
- Strong team player, willing and able to share knowledge and experience with more junior colleagues
- Confident and professional in approach
- Self-motivated and resourceful with strong organisation skills
- Able to manage own workload and meet deadlines in an autonomous role.
- Highly proficient in IT including CCH and MS Office
- ATT Qualified ideally or Qualified by Experience
