Reed Accountancy are proud to be working with a business near Wakefield who are recruiting a Junior Accounts Assistant to join their team. You will assist the Management Accountant with Purchase Ledger and Credit Control duties. Training will be provided, graduates/apprentices are also encouraged to apply. This is a part-time and permanent position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accurately input and process invoices
  • Maintain and reconcile supplier statements
  • Prepare and process payments to suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with company policies
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly reports related to purchase ledger activities
  • Monitor and manage accounts receivable
  • Reconcile customer accounts
  • Ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices
  • Communicate with clients regarding overdue payments

You will need to demonstrate:

  • Strong analytical and problem solving-skills
  • Degree in Accountancy or studying AAT or experience within a similar environment
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ideally drive with access to own car (desirable – due to location)
