Accounts Assistant - Motor Trade Experience EssentialLocation: Wakefield | Salary: £23,400 per annum | Full-Time, Permanent

We are working with a respected client to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their finance team in Wakefield. Motor trade experience is essential, and proficiency in Kerridge is not essential but is advantageous for this role.

This is a full-time, permanent position, offering 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Code and verify invoices for accuracy
  • Process payments via BACS or cheque
  • Reconcile supplier statements and accounts
  • File invoices and statements systematically
  • Handle purchase inquiries and resolve discrepancies
  • Manage both purchase and sales ledgers
  • Maintain accurate financial records in Kerridge and Motor Trade systems

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong computer skills, with experience in Microsoft Office (ADP experience is a plus)
  • Previous experience in a similar accounting role, managing purchase and sales ledgers
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Effective time management and ability to prioritise tasks
