Are you a detail-oriented and self-motivated individual with a passion for numbers? Are you working as a Finance Assistant and want more exposure to management accounts? Our client values accuracy, teamwork, and continuous improvement. As an Assistant Accountant, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in their finance team, handling a variety of tasks such as:

  • Assisting monthly journals/accruals/prepayments
  • Assisting with monthly Management Accounts.
  • Monthly Supplier Statement Reconciliations
  • Pitman Pension Recharges
  • Control of Petty Cash and Employee expenses
  • Assisting with Ad hoc Group requests/reporting.
  • Ring / emailing customers to chase payments
  • Daily Bank Reconciliations (Debtor & Creditors)
  • Monitoring customer credit limits / overdue accounts and putting accounts on hold when necessary
  • Setting up new customer accounts
  • Managing credit notes 
  • Printing / Emailing daily sales invoices
  • Using credit insurance web site to manage insured credit limits                
  • Matching purchase invoices against GRNI and investigating differences
  • Posting purchase invoices and managing invoice authorisation
  • Liaising with other group companies and reconciling Group Intercompany
  • Recording and processing of the monthly payroll
  • Producing and reporting Weekly/ Monthly Debtor/ Creditor reports
  • Weekly Supplier Payment runs
  • Assisting in quarterly Cash Forecasting.
  • Maintaining records archiving for company
  • Pitman Pension Recharges
