Admin Support Officer / PA to Service Manager

We are seeking an Admin Support Officer to provide high-quality secretarial and administrative support to Service Managers and other senior managers within the Children in Care/Corporate Parenting Service. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in managing multiple administrative tasks and handling sensitive information with discretion.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide a comprehensive administrative support service to Service Managers and other senior managers, including tasks like bulk data input, typing, diary management, photocopying, and producing correspondence.
- Coordinate the Service Manager’s electronic calendar and manage diary schedules.
- Process confidential correspondence on behalf of the Service Manager, adhering to strict timescales and standards.
- Act as the first point of contact for the Service Manager, handling routine enquiries and requests for information independently.
- Arrange and manage logistics for meetings and conferences, including room bookings, agenda preparation, and minute-taking.
- Produce accurate and timely reports as required by the Service Manager.
- Take responsibility for personal continuous development, participating in training as necessary to maintain and enhance skills.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Knowledge and understanding of business administration systems and procedures.
- Understanding of data protection, confidentiality, and information security principles.
- Experience communicating confidently with staff at various levels, partners, and the public.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a local government or confidential environment.
- Proficient in diary management and minute-taking.
- Ability to present information clearly and professionally adhering to plain English standards.
