We are seeking a dedicated Business Support Officer to join our Children’s Social Care team at a local authority. This role involves covering three sites in Wakefield and requires a professional who can manage multiple administrative tasks efficiently.
Day-to-day of the role:- Perform reception duties, acting as the first point of contact for clients and visitors.
- Take minutes during meetings to ensure all discussions are documented accurately.
- Handle petty cash transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
- Arrange meetings, including scheduling, sending reminders, and organising necessary materials.
- Process orders for clients of the service on an ad hoc basis, ensuring timely and accurate handling.
- Proven experience in administrative roles, preferably within a social care or public sector environment.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong minute-taking abilities with attention to detail.
- Experience handling petty cash and basic financial management.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise duties in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
