We are seeking a dedicated Business Support Officer to join our children’s social care team at a local authority. This role is crucial in supporting the daily operations of the team, ensuring efficient administrative support and coordination.
Day-to-day of the role:- Perform reception duties, acting as the first point of contact for the department, greeting and directing visitors appropriately.
- Take detailed minutes during meetings to ensure all information is accurately captured and distributed to relevant parties.
- Add new referrals to the system promptly and accurately to maintain up-to-date records.
- Arrange meetings by coordinating schedules, sending out invitations, and preparing necessary materials to ensure smooth and efficient team operations.
- Proven experience in an administrative or support role, preferably within a social care or similar setting.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent minute-taking skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in using office software and communication tools to manage documents, spreadsheets, and emails.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
