Nursery Practitioner

Pay Scale: 90 - 100 per day

Career Teachers are recruiting passionate and Level 3 Qualified Teaching Assistants to work in a Nursery School in the Wakefield Education Authority. Successful applicants can work on a full time or part time basis.

This dual site Nursery School is graded outstanding by OFSTED and is located in the heart of Wakefield. The team are dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their development and preparing them for their educational journey.

Career Teachers are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioners to join their team. Starting after Easter and running until the end of the Academic year, the school has openings for both full-time and part-time positions. The successful candidates will be passionate about early childhood education and committed to delivering high-quality care and learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement engaging and age-appropriate activities
  • Support the physical, emotional, and social development of children
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive environment
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support each child's development
  • Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
