Background

I'm currently seeking skilled Structural Technicians to join a dynamic team based in Wakefield, ideally located for those commuting from Leeds or surrounding areas. This role involves creating innovative structural solutions and preparing high-quality design documentation to enhance departmental outputs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce design drawings using Autodesk Revit, following established technical procedures to ensure a smooth design process.

  • Prepare tender proposals, preliminary, and construction stage designs in a timely manner, adhering to approved codes of practice and legislation.

  • Collaborate with customers, sales, operations, and other technical teams to ensure successful project delivery within time and budget constraints.

  • Provide support and guidance to team members, developing systems and processes that maintain consistency throughout.

  • Manage your workload effectively, undertaking specific project tasks as required.

  • Communicate effectively in meetings and discussions, contributing proactively to team efforts.

  • Lead innovation by developing best practices for new ways of working.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualifications: BTEC/HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or a related field, OR a degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering (BEng, MEng, BSc, MSc, etc.) or equivalent.

  • Familiarity with structural analysis software (e.g., CADS A3D MAX, SAP2000, Robot, Tekla Tedds)

  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD, along with MS Office.

  • Passion for problem-solving, with a focus on producing accurate work and driving continuous improvements.

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the construction industry is preferred, with flexibility in job specifics based on experience and qualifications.
