Shifts - 4/4 (days & nights) and after 7x rotations of the shift pattern, you get 18 days off.Location - Wakefield.I am delighted to be working with one of the largest aluminium can manufacturers globally, to add an experienced Chemical Process Technician to their team. A strong foundation in mechanical engineering is needed for this role as you will be expected to attend to breakdowns & general maintenance.Purpose of the roleTo control, operate and troubleshoot pumps, can washing equipment, RO Unit, and ensure the effluent treatment plant is monitored and meets legal requirements. You will be involved in process engineering practices. General process technician methods might include being able to start up a process, shut down a process, diagnose problems, undertake planned maintenance and restore repaired equipment to working order. Additionally, process technicians must comply with safety health and environmental rules.Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain correct product quality and monitor product quality through manual checks and automated monitoring systems.
  • Keep chemical process under control.
  • Mechanically maintain all area machinery and systems as required to ensure preventative maintenance is carried out as per a schedule.
  • Ensure metal coating solutions are compatible with operation conditions and machinery can operate in optimum performance.
  • Must follow instructions and perform tasks stated by the Maintainer.
  • Have knowledge about and apply principals of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001.
  • Liaise and generate a good working relationship with suppliers
