As a Design (Civil) Engineer, you will join our client's integrated team, leading the design of infra and non-infra projects on the Yorkshire Water Framework from outline design through to detailed design, construction, and commissioning support.

Design (Civil) Engineer Job Overview

  • Coordinate civil and drainage design activities, ensuring compliance with client specifications and standards.
  • Prepare design solutions, including drawings, reports, specifications, calculations, and estimates, while managing documentation and reviewing accuracy.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on project planning, programming, and commercial management.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers, technicians, and apprentices, resolving technical issues.

Design (Civil) Engineer Job Requirements

  • Qualified Engineer, ideally chartered or a member of a relevant institution (e.g., ICE).
  • Experience in civil design within the UK water sector, with strong knowledge of drainage design standards.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Civils3D, and BIM integration (desirable).
  • Competent in hydraulic design principles and manual calculation methods.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and proactive learning skills.
