A fast growing house building company near Wakefield who are setting up an in-house architectural team to complete architectural works from land inception through to completion are seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Technician.
Our client are passionate about delivering high-quality houses in the Yorkshire Region working on scheme between 30-250 units per site. Due to company growth our client are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Architectural Technician. Key Responsibilities for the Senior Architectural Technician:
- Produce Architectural drawing packs from land inception to completion.
- Produce high-quality, detailed technical drawings and specifications, ensuring compliance with building regulations and NHBC standards.
- Develop new standard house type ranges.
- Produce full working drawing packs for standard house types as well and company standard details for construction
- Collaborate with in house departments, engineers, and other project stakeholders to coordinate design.
- Conduct site visits to assess project progress and resolve any technical issues on-site.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, offering technical support and advice.
- Review and ensure accuracy of documentation and manage project timelines.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and technologies.
Key Requirements for the Senior Architectural Technician:
- A degree or HND in Architectural Technology or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Architectural Technician, with a strong portfolio of completed projects with residential experience (preferably volume house building).
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD) and other design tools.
- In-depth knowledge of building regulations, construction methods, and sustainable design practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Full driving license (desirable).
