We have an exciting and rare new opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join an award-winning consultancy firm in West Yorkshire as an Assistant Project Manager due to growth and increased workload.
This role will support the project management team in delivering projects while ensuring that timelines and budgets are adhered to. The ideal individual will have a passion for project management and a desire to grow their skills in a collaborative environment.

Assistant Project Manager requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management or a related course
- Professional certifications such as PMP, APM or PMQ would be ideal
- UK driving license and access to own car
- Live within a commutable distance of Wakefield
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work on own initiative with strong motivation skills
- Professional attitude and approach to work and clients is a must
Key duties of the Assistant Project Manager position:
- Assist in the planning and coordination of projects from inception to completion.
- Support project managers in tracking progress, managing timelines, and ensuring project milestones are met.
- Communicate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Prepare documentation, reports, and presentations for project meetings.
- Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Assist in budget management by tracking project expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Participate in problem-solving and decision-making processes to overcome project challenges.
