Elevation Recruitment are pleased to be working with a tunkey engineering business in West Yorkshire to help them recruit a Project Manager.About the Company:The company specialise in the design, build and installation of bespoke heavy-duty machinery and complete turnkey solutions for metalforming, material handling, waste management and other sectors. Renowned for delivering cutting-edge engineering solutions, they partner with clients across various industries to address complex challenges with tailored systems.

Role Overview:We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager to lead and oversee multiple projects from concept to completion. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality solutions that meet client requirements. This position requires a hands-on approach, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams in an engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Execution:

    • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders
    • Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to scope, quality, schedule, and cost objectives
    • Oversee installation & commissioning of machinery on site
  • Client & Stakeholder Management:

    • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals and deliverables
    • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, managing expectations and addressing any issues proactively
  • Team Coordination:

    • Lead multidisciplinary teams, including design engineers, production staff, and quality assurance, to deliver bespoke machinery and turnkey solutions.
    • Ensure effective collaboration and resolve any cross-functional challenges.
  • Risk Management:

    • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them
    • Implement corrective actions as required to ensure project success
  • Compliance & Documentation:

    • Ensure all projects comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies
    • Maintain thorough documentation, including technical specifications, progress reports, and project deliverables

Key Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within heavy engineering, preferably with bespoke machinery or turnkey solutions
  • Strong technical background in metalforming, material handling, or heavy-duty machinery is highly desirable
  • Knolwedge of Hydraulic systems would be beneficial
  • Experience working to NEC contract frameworks
  • Track record within design, build and installation projects
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, or PMP certification is a plus)
