Search Recruitment is excited to be assisting in the recruitment of a Credit Controller for a full-time, permanent role based in Wakefield. Our client is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented individual to join their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong credit control skills to manage the company's debtor portfolio and play a key role in maintaining a healthy cash flow.

As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing the collection of outstanding debts and ensuring timely payments from customers. Your main duties will include reviewing and monitoring customer accounts, issuing statements and reminders, negotiating payment terms, and resolving any billing disputes. You will also be tasked with maintaining accurate records of all communications with customers and escalating overdue accounts when necessary. In addition, you will assist with credit checks for new customers, manage credit limits, and support the wider finance team with cash flow forecasting and reporting.

To be successful in this role, you should have strong experience in credit control and a solid understanding of credit management principles. You will need to have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure to meet targets. Experience using accounting software and Microsoft Excel is essential, and familiarity with SAGE or similar systems would be an advantage.
