Credit Controller

Salary: 26,000 - 28,000 DOE

Location: Wakefield

We are looking for a Credit Controller to join our client in the powered access industry. This role is responsible for managing customer accounts, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining strong relationships with clients to support cash flow.

Key Responsibilities

As a credit controller, your responsibilities will include:

• Chase outstanding payments via phone, email, and written correspondence.
• Monitor customer accounts and ensure overdue balances are collected promptly.
• Allocate payments and reconcile customer accounts accurately.
• Investigate and resolve invoice queries efficiently.
• Work closely with the sales and finance teams to manage credit limits and approvals.
• Prepare and issue statements and reports on outstanding debt.
• Maintain accurate records of all credit control activities.
• Provide excellent customer service while managing debt recovery professionally.
• Process supplier invoices and match them to purchase orders.
• Maintain accurate records of all purchases and payments.
• Liaise with suppliers to handle any payment or invoice queries.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 1 year experience as a credit controller is essential
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
