Level 2/Level 3 Early Years Practitioner

Location: Lupset Wakefield Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday)Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

About Us:Our client is a well-established early years setting looking for a passionate and dedicated Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Key Person Role: Take responsibility for a group of children, developing strong, positive relationships and ensuring their individual needs are met.
  • Child Observations & Planning: Conduct regular observations of children's progress, using your findings to plan engaging, age-appropriate activities tailored to their development needs.
  • EYFS Knowledge: Use your expertise in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to create and implement learning plans that encourage children to explore and develop their skills.
  • Support Children's Development: Foster a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment, ensuring each child is encouraged to learn and grow.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, sharing best practices and contributing to team meetings and the nursery's overall development.
  • Safeguarding & Welfare: Adhere to safeguarding policies, ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Qualification in Early Years Education (or equivalent).
  • Experience as a Key Person: Demonstrable experience working in a key person role, building relationships with children and their families.
  • Child Observations & Planning: Strong skills in carrying out accurate observations, tracking progress, and creating tailored plans.
  • EYFS Knowledge: A solid understanding of the EYFS framework and how to implement it effectively in a nursery setting.
  • Passion for Early Years: A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
