We are seeking a compassionate and proactive SEND Teaching Assistant to support students with additional learning needs. You will work closely with teachers and SEN specialists to create an engaging and structured learning environment, ensuring that every child receives the support they need to thrive.

A dedicated provision supporting children aged 5 to 11 with communication and interaction challenges. These specialist settings cater to students with significant needs, primarily autism, as well as those with severe speech and language difficulties, providing tailored support to help them thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for children with SEND.
  • Assist in implementing tailored learning plans to meet individual needs.
  • Help create a calm and structured classroom environment.
  • Support emotional and social development, promoting positive interactions.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SEN coordinators, and families to support student progress.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children with SEND (or a strong willingness to learn).
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to supporting learning.
  • Possess an Enhanced Child DBS or willingness to get one.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs.
