Role Overview: As a SEND Teaching Assistant, your role will involve working closely with pupils who have a variety of learning difficulties, including autism, behavioural challenges, and communication needs. You will support the class teacher in delivering tailored lessons, adapting resources to meet individual needs, and fostering a positive, inclusive atmosphere where every student can achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support for SEND pupils.
  • Assist with classroom preparation and the development of differentiated learning materials.
  • Implement personalised strategies to support students' social and emotional development.
  • Help manage behaviour and ensure a safe and productive classroom environment.
  • Support students during activities, ensuring they are fully engaged and included.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCOs, and other professionals to deliver tailored support.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
