The company is seeking a skilled and proactive Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join the team at their Wakefield facility. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the production process by carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance across a wide range of electrical and mechanical systems. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art environment with modern automation and robotics, all while contributing to the continued growth and success of the business.
Key responsibilities of a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer:
- Carry out routine and preventative maintenance across production machinery, plant, and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical faults across the site.
- Work with advanced automation systems, including robotics, control systems, and PLCs.
- Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems.
- Maintain up-to-date records of all maintenance activities and fault reports.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help drive efficiency across the site.
Successful Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer will have:
- Strong electrical background, with experience working in FMCG, food manufacturing, or similar industries.
- Passion for electronics, control systems, and automation.
- Experience with PLCs, robotics, and automated production lines.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Proactive, with a strong problem-solving mindset.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
