We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to lead the development of competitive bids and manage major project estimates for a company with an expanding client base, a dynamic, growth-focused environment and excellent career development opportunities.
Role Overview: In this pivotal role, you will oversee the identification, development, and submission of major project estimates, ensuring the delivery of timely and accurate proposals. You will serve as the primary interface for major project bidding activities, ensuring alignment between client expectations and our operational capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and propose value-engineered alternatives to client plans, demonstrating our commitment to cost-effective solutions.
- Enhance the tendering process to improve our ability to win major projects.
- Lead pre- and post-tender bid meetings with clients and stakeholders to secure work.
- Develop and grow the supply chain to deliver innovative and complex solutions.
- Negotiate and finalise opportunities with clients, suppliers, and contractors.
- Track and manage bids post-submission to ensure timely closure and accurate feedback.
- Work with operational teams to ensure seamless handover of projects with an eye on successful delivery.
What we require:
- In-depth knowledge of Low Voltage, High Voltage (HV & EHV) distribution networks.
- HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in utilities and construction industries, with an understanding of distribution infrastructure.
- Proven track record in managing a team and delivering complex projects.
- Knowledge of Contract Law, Health & Safety, and CDM Regulations.
- Full UK driving license.
