Our client is a growing and successful company in the FM sector, specialising in mechanical, electrical, and building services for the commercial and leisure industries.

They are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer. The Electrical Engineer will handle a variety of tasks, from reactive maintenance in care homes to new build and refurbishment projects for high-profile hospitality clients, with most work being field-based and occasional office visits as needed.

What's in it for you?

  • Monday to Friday (08:00 - 5:00).
  • Hourly Pay - Up to £17 per hour.
  • This is a mobile role so you will be required to travel across the UK (main areas of work are Local to the office, anywhere from Birmingham to Newcastle and Manchester to Hull).
  • Overnight stay will be required occasionally which would include a £40 overnight allowance.
  • Will be required to be on call for the week which could be once a month or once every couple of months depending on workload.
  • Standby rate of £120.
  • Overtime rates - Anything before 7am and after 6pm is 1.5x and any Sunday work is x2.
  • Paid door to door.

Responsibilities

  • Perform reactive maintenance tasks.
  • Deliver new build and refurbishment projects to a high standard, on schedule.
  • Complete planned maintenance, testing, and minor installations, issuing valid test certificates upon completion.
  • Ensure facilities meet specified standards in line with Service Level Agreements.
  • Conduct minor works installations with testing and inspections, ensuring safety compliance.
  • Carry out planned and cyclical maintenance work.
  • Ensure safe operation of all equipment and tools, following safety protocols.
  • Use electronic tablet systems to submit time sheets, expense claims, and complete related tasks.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Fully qualified Electrical Engineer.
  • Experience in installation and maintenance work is preferred.
  • An understanding of current Health & Safety and safe working practices.
  • An understanding of working to agreed Service Level Agreements is an advantage.
  • Full driving licence.
  • A DBS check will be required.
