My client is looking for a dynamic and proactive Proposals Manager to join their growing team at their Wakefield office. You will play a key role in driving the growth of the business by managing the bid and proposals process for projects with values up to 10M each.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation, writing, and submission of competitive bids and proposals, ensuring compliance with client requirements.
  • Manage the full bid process from initial qualification through to submission, including planning, coordination, and presentation.
  • Work closely with senior management, estimating teams, and technical specialists to ensure accurate and compelling submissions.
  • Develop win strategies, value propositions, and tailored solutions to meet client needs.
  • Analyse tender documents and identify risks, opportunities, and key information required for the bid.
  • Ensure all proposals are professionally presented, accurate, and submitted on time.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders to enhance future business opportunities.
  • Continuously improve the bid process and share best practices across the team.

Ideal Candidate:

  • You should be either an experienced Assistant Proposals Manager looking for the next step in your career or already be a Proposals Manager.
  • Proven track record in managing or supporting bids for construction projects, ideally with experience in education, commercial, industrial, or healthcare sectors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to produce high-quality proposals and presentations.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Knowledge of construction project delivery, tendering processes, and procurement methods.
  • A proactive, self-motivated individual with excellent attention to detail and a passion for securing new business.
