IT Security Engineer

Wakefield - Hybrid

£55,000 + benefits.

We're looking for a Cyber Security Specialist to join an industry leading organisation that are going through a period of growth due to continued success! This established, stable company stays ahead of it's competitors due to innovation and is a UK leader in what they do.

Technology is at the heart of their strategy and the Cyber Security team is a key player in this. A collaborative, people centric environment, you'd be joining a fast paced, driven team where no day will look the same!

A varied role, this team support & help each other so therefore you'll be working across a broad remit within IT Security. From BAU through to projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To maintain, optimise and implement security tools; antimalware, SIEM, Vulnerability Management etc
  • Provide expertise to investigate security events, alerts and lead incident response actions
  • Manage cyber security incident responses including investigating breaches, identifying root cause - implementing effective nad efficient actions
  • Be an SME on wider IT projects such as technology refresh, new products, penn testing, remediation's and IT audits.
  • Report on the security posture of the organisation, taking part in educating and training the wider business on IT Security awareness

We're looking for someone who has experience in a Cyber / IT Security role where they're used to working in a non-siloed, varied position. We're open to different levels of experience outside of that!

This is a hybrid role so you must be a commutable distance from their offices based just near Wakefield for 2 days a week.
