HR Business Partner

- Salary: £34.67 PAYE / £46.96 Umbrella per hour
We are seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to join our HR Leadership team. This role is crucial in working closely with the Service Director for HR&OD, Corporate Directors, and key stakeholders. You will lead and develop a professional, proactive HR Business Partner service, supporting senior leaders in building the capability of the organisation to achieve and deliver on both the short-term and longer-term strategy. This position is ideal for someone with proven organisational development experience who is ready to drive change and create sustainable value through people change programmes.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Take a holistic approach to organisational redesign, considering the impact across the organisation and breaking down silo working.
- Manage end-to-end project lifecycles, ensuring key milestones and deliverables are achieved on time.
- Support and guide services and the HR&OD Team on workforce planning, ensuring the council meets not only legislative requirements but also future needs.
- Provide insights and guidance to directorates and HRBPs to drive organisational success, ensuring alignment with the organisation's culture and goals.
- Use evidence and data to identify people priorities within the organisation and inform strategic workforce planning.
- Collaborate with the wider HR&OD team to streamline processes and improve HR&OD service delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- CIPD qualification or other relevant qualification.
- Detailed knowledge of current and upcoming employment legislation and the ability to interpret it in an organisational context.
- Previous experience working as an established HR professional specialising in Organisational Development.
- Understanding of the Public Sector and their key functions is desirable.
- Experience of constructively working with Trade Unions at regional and local levels and undertaking consultation and negotiation to achieve successful outcomes.
- Extensive experience of leading and implementing significant change projects, including organisational design, in a large diverse organisation.
