Wakefield Council are looking for a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to lead and shape their HR Business Partner service, driving organisational success and supporting senior leaders in building organisational capacity. As the Council modernises their HR and Organisational Development services, your role will be crucial in implementing HR strategies and fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Collaborate with directors and key stakeholders to develop and implement HR strategies that support the achievement of the council's goals.
  • Lead and manage a team of HR Business Partners, ensuring high performance and providing necessary guidance and support.
  • Drive significant change projects, managing transitions smoothly and ensuring effective implementation.
  • Utilise a detailed knowledge of employment legislation to devise practical solutions for business needs and challenges.
  • Foster strong working relationships across the organisation to promote a collaborative and inclusive culture.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience operating at a senior HRBP level, ideally within the public sector.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and make an immediate impact.
  • Extensive knowledge of employment legislation and its effective application in a business environment.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to manage and inspire a team.
