We are seeking a Business Services Manager to join our client, a well estbalished practice based in Wakefield. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual to take ownership of a client portfolio, lead a talented team, and ensure exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Management:

  • Manage client relationships, ensuring engagement and satisfaction with our services.
  • Negotiate fees and identify additional opportunities to support client needs.
  • Deliver high-quality client interactions both face-to-face and remotely.
  • Ensure compliance, billing targets, and engagement letters are up to date.

Staff Leadership:

  • Mentor and develop team members, ensuring they meet performance and training goals.
  • Monitor and ensure work quality aligns with technical standards and time requirements.
  • Support trainees in achieving apprenticeship milestones and exam success.

Operational Oversight:

  • Schedule and oversee client work to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency.
  • Monitor job time costs, addressing any significant variances.

You are a technically proficient accounting professional with a knack for building strong relationships and managing teams effectively. You thrive in a client-facing role and possess:

  • Robust knowledge of accounting and tax principles.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Confidence in negotiating and presenting solutions to clients.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
  • A commercial mindset, capable of providing actionable business insights.
