Our client, a well-established and supportive accountancy practice, is seeking an experienced Business Services Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of clients and ensure top-tier service delivery. The Role:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing their needs and ensuring compliance.
- Oversee the delivery of high-quality accounting and tax services while identifying opportunities for additional support.
- Lead and mentor a small team of bookkeepers and trainee accountants, supporting their development.
- Ensure all work meets technical standards, deadlines, and business goals.
- Support the Head of Business Services with billing targets, workflow monitoring, and process improvements.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or Qualified by Experience (QBE)
- Accountancy practice experience in a Business Services/Client Manager role
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting & tax with a client-focused approach
- People management & leadership skills - experience mentoring junior staff
- Ability to manage multiple client relationships, negotiate fees, and deliver commercial insights
- Confident handling compliance, statutory accounts, and regulatory requirements
- IT proficient - strong Excel and MS Office skills, plus experience with accounting software
