Finance Manager

Wakefield area

£34,000 - £36,000

This is an exciting time to join this expanding SME who are planning to double their turnover over the next few years. Due to the imminent retirement of their current Finance Manager they are seeking an experienced management accountant/FC/Finance Manager to join their great team.

Reporting to the Director you'll be soley responsible for all aspects of the daily/monthly accounting functions working with their external accountants for year-end/audits.

Your responsibilities will include;

  • Processing purchase ledger invoices
  • Production of sales ledger invoices, credit control & cash allocation
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Production of monthly management accounts and commentary
  • Journals & prepayments
  • Monthly payroll
  • VAT returns
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Provide analysis an financial insight to the directors

Currently using Sage however planning to move onto a new system later in the year.

You'll be a confident and competent accounting professional with recent and relevant accounting experience. You'll be confident working on your own initiative and enjoy a hands on role with a company that have plans to expand.

Office based, parking onsite.
