HW Finance are delighted to be working with a large privately owned business based in Wakefield. This is a crucial role within core finance looking after all IFRS16 accounting responsibilities.
The successful candidate must be capable of working in a stand-alone project role but also comfortable working in a large group accounting function.
Key areas of responsibility are:
- Familiar with IFRS16 / ASC842 / FRS102 standards
- Understand how to transition from IAS to IFRS16, or UK GAAP to FRS102
- Income statement & statement of financial position reporting implications in respect to IFRS16/FRS102
- Disclosure reporting
- Knowledge of double entry accounting
- Advise the business on industry best practices regarding property and lease management
The person:
- Qualified accountant - ACA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent
- Substantial post qualified experience
- Experience managing large finance projects
- Comprehensive understanding of IFRS16 lease accounting treatment
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic, rapidly changing business environment, to multitask, to get into detail where needed and to meet deadlines on a timely basis
- Strong relationship and communication skills
- Strong MS Office skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
