We are seeking a paraplanner to join their growing Paraplanning Department to work closely with Financial Planners and produce competent suitability reports. We offer the right candidates the opportunity to work closely with our Investment Committee or to develop into Financial Planner roles, should that be their ultimate career objective.

What are the progression routes?

The team can offer a clear route to advising (currently 7 advisers are former paraplanners), the current recruitment need now is due to 2 more Paraplanners becoming advisers.

Investment Management (working alongside our DFM arm)

50/50 hybrid arrangement over a two-week rota; during a 2 week period you can work from home for 5 days. 

Paraplanner Salary up to £38,000

Benefits, Death in Service, Medical back plan and access to Private Medical, Study support package including exams and study leave paid for, Bonus scheme. Holiday is 21 days + Bank Holiday and Christmas off as well as the opportunity to buy and sell holiday

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Financial Planners to formulate advice, ensure client files remain compliant and produce competent suitability reports.
  • Complete annual suitability review letters for clients and raising any other potential queries with the Financial Planner.
  • Assist Paraplanning Supervisor & Investment Committee with maintaining centrally held research for the firm's Central Investment Proposition.
  • Maintain accurate information within the firm's Client Management System.
  • Act as a 'point of contact' within the office for nominated Financial Planners.
  • Preparing and maintaining client files and preparing compliant suitability reports.
  • Conducting research on client specific projects.

Requirements:

  • Experience in Paraplanning with particular experience in Suitability report writing for Investments and Pensions 
  • Diploma Qualified or close to completion via CII, LIBF or equivalent 
  • High understanding of financial planning topics/practices
  • Ability to produce professional financial suitability letters
