Role Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Import Operator to join our dynamic team. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and compliant handling of import operations, directly contributing to the timely and effective delivery of our services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Import Coordination: Oversee all aspects of the import process, from initial documentation through to final delivery, ensuring that each shipment is handled accurately and efficiently.

  • Customs Compliance: Stay up-to-date with relevant customs regulations and ensure that all import activities align with legal and industry requirements.

  • Client and Supplier Liaison: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, suppliers, and agents, providing clear updates and resolving any issues to maintain strong working relationships.

  • Documentation Management: Prepare and verify import documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and packing lists, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.

  • Issue Resolution: Quickly identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to import shipments, minimizing delays and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and operations teams to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and support continuous improvements across the business.

  • Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all import transactions for auditing, reporting, and compliance purposes.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience in import operations or a similar role within the shipping or logistics industry.

  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of customs regulations, import procedures, and the documentation involved in international shipping.

  • Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities, with a talent for building and maintaining professional relationships.
