A well-known retailer is seeking an Assistant Buyer to join their team in Wakefield. This role involves working across essential celebration products such as wrapping paper, gift bags, and party supplies. Collaborating closely with other teams, you will play a key role in contributing to the companys growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in product development to ensure items meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Support data-driven decision-making and help manage risks while driving sales and profit growth.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of your product category.
  • Contribute to successful negotiations with suppliers and partners.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ensure critical paths are adhered to and proactively address any issues that arise.
  • Conduct market research to generate product ideas and perform cost comparison analysis.
  • Assist in sample reviews alongside the Quality Control (QC) team.
