We are recruiting on behalf of a leading FMCG packaging manufacturing business based in West Yorkshire. This company has recently undergone major investments and exciting improvement projects, leading to significant growth. Due to this expansion, they are looking to appoint a Furnace Manager to oversee and manage their furnace operations.

Key Responsibilities of a Furnace Manager:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the furnace department.
  • Ensure production schedules are met and operations run efficiently.
  • Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the furnace team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with other departments to optimize production processes.
  • Manage maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and increase efficiency.
  • Analyze operational performance and implement improvements.
  • Coordinate and participate in shutdowns and essential maintenance tasks.

Successful Furnace Manager will have:

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting, particularly in furnace or process operations.
