GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and inspiring Humanities Teacher to join one of our client schools in Wakefield. You will work within a dynamic and supportive team to ensure that students gain a deep understanding of subjects such as History, Geography, and Religious Studies.

As a Humanities Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons that cater to the diverse needs of secondary school students. You will also have the opportunity to develop critical thinking and analytical skills in young learners, fostering a passion for Humanities.

Responsibilities of a Humanities Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver Humanities lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Foster a positive learning environment to engage and support students.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to enhance the school’s curriculum.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and school events as required.

Required Qualifications for a Humanities Teacher:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
  • Specialism in Humanities subjects (History, Geography, Religious Studies, etc.).
  • Experience teaching KS3 and KS4.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection protocols.
