Location: Wakefield
Shift: Days Only
Salary: 28,000 - 35,000 Per Annum (DOE)

Metalis is working in partnership with a global sub-contractor in Wakefield who due to continuous growth are looking to hire a skilled Salesperson on a permanent contract.

Job Duties:

  • Answering calls and emails from customers and suppliers.
  • Dealing with trade counter customers.
  • Problem solving customer issues with product and guidance.
  • Developing relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Quoting new and existing customers.
  • Chasing customer enquiries.
  • Processing customer orders via phone and email.
  • Dealing with suppliers via phone and email.
  • Confirming customer / supplier order acknowledgements.
  • Goods inward checking.
  • Hydraulic hose assembly (training provided if necessary).
  • Picking and packing customer orders.
  • Joint customer visits when required.


Job Requirements:

  • Customer Service experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills - the ability to build relationships with customers and potential customers
  • Good IT skills
  • Flexible and willing take on a variety of tasks
  • Good administrative and organisational skills with the focus on attention to detail
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Experience working with hydraulic hoses and fittings (Advantageous)
  • Experience working with AX (Advantageous)
  • Forklift truck licence (Advantageous)
  • Experience of pressure testing and hot oil flushing (Advantageous)


Salary & Shift:

  • 28,000 - 35,000 Per Annum (DOE)
  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday to Thursday, 8.30am - 4.45pm, Friday 8.30am - 4.15pm
  • 25 days annual holiday plus public holidays
  • Immediate start available
