The plant in Normanton has recently undergone an extensive investment plan in new machinery and processes and is one of the UK’s largest food processing manufacturing plants of its kind. They continue to expand, based on the reputation they have built for quality delivery of products; they have become an extremely secure employer, in the North of England.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximizing machine efficiencies. This will be a reactive and a proactive maintenance role, working to and carrying out the monthly PPM work. The successful candidate will come from an electrical or mechanical engineering background, with a strong multi-skilled pedigree. You will be expected to work on your own initiative and have fast moving manufacturing experience, with a good working knowledge of PPM systems. On a day to day basis, you will work on PLC systems, slicers, Multivac, weighers, labellers, conveyors, packaging machinery, motors, shafts, pumps, and mechanical equipment such as gearboxes, pumps, general mechanical work, and other manufacturing machinery. There is a huge amount of training on offer so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably.
