Prospero Teaching is working in partnership with a secondary SEND school based in Wakefield.

They are seeking a passionate and skilled SCERTs Teacher to contribute to our mission of providing high-quality, individualised education.


Role Overview:
As a SCERTs Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in implementing the SCERTs (Social Communication, Emotional Regulation, and Transactional Support) framework to support students with autism and related developmental disorders. Your responsibilities will include designing and delivering individualised lessons plans, working closely with students, teaching assistants, and other educational professionals to enhance learning outcomes and promote holistic development.


Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualised education programs (IEPs) based on the SCERTs framework.
Design and deliver tailored lessons that addresses the unique needs of each student.
Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure academic and behavioural success.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create a supportive and cohesive learning environment.
Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and growth.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with families regarding their child's development.


Qualifications:
QTS or equivalent
Certification or coursework in SCERTs or similar frameworks is highly desirable.
Experience working with students with autism is preferred.
Strong understanding of individualised education plans (IEPs) and effective teaching strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals and families.

Hold Right to Work in the UK


Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
