Accelerate Teaching is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Inclusion Worker to join our dynamic team at a PRU School in Kirklees. Starting in September 2024, this part-time role is perfect for an individual committed to making a tangible difference in the lives of young people.

As an Inclusion Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting students who require additional assistance to achieve their full potential. We are seeking someone with experience in a similar role who can bring a wealth of knowledge and empathy to our school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Student Support: Provide targeted support to students with diverse needs, ensuring they feel valued and included in all aspects of school life.
  • Individual Plans: Assist in the development and implementation of personalised learning plans, tailored to meet the specific needs of each student.
  • Behaviour Management: Work collaboratively with teaching staff to manage and improve student behaviour, fostering a positive and conducive learning environment.
  • Parent and Carer Liaison: Maintain effective communication with parents and carers, providing regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student welfare and inclusion.
  • Mentoring: Offer guidance and mentoring to students, helping them to develop resilience and achieve their academic and personal goals.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of inclusive education practices and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
