EYFS Teaching Assistant - Wakefield

We are currently working on really exciting teaching assistant role for a Teaching Assistant (TA) skilled in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to join a primary school in Crigglestone, Wakefield on a full-time basis starting from September 2024. This role specifically focuses on EYFS and requires expertise and/or training in Read Write Inc. Phonics. You will also be required to be indoors and outdoors in all weathers throughout the year so please ensure that this is something you are comfortable with.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons.
  • Providing one-on-one or small group support to pupils.
  • Utilising Read Write Inc. Phonics strategies to enhance literacy development.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience working in a primary school setting, in particular with EYFS.
  • Training and/or experience in Read Write Inc. Phonics.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to creating a positive and supportive learning environment.
