GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Wakefield. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching Mathematics and fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment where students can thrive. This role offers the chance to contribute to a school's vision of academic excellence, while shaping the futures of young learners.
As a Mathematics Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that cater to various learning needs and abilities, helping students to develop confidence and competence in Mathematics.
Responsibilities of a Mathematics Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Assess, track, and report on students' progress.
- Create a stimulating classroom environment that fosters a love for learning.
- Encourage and support students’ personal development and academic success.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience.
- Uphold the school's policies, including behaviour management and safeguarding.
Required Qualifications for a Mathematics Teacher:
- A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
- A degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
- Experience teaching Mathematics at the secondary level.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- A clear understanding of the UK national curriculum for Mathematics.
