Reed are supporting Wakefield Council in their recruitment to a crucial HR Business Partner position. In this role, you will provide comprehensive services to Senior Management and other key stakeholders within the Council. This role is vital in driving continuous performance improvements, optimising human resources, and aligning the Council’s vision and priorities with workforce strategies.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide proactive advice on workforce planning and transformation of services. 
  • Design workforce strategies and solutions to support the redesign and remodelling of services, fostering workforce cultural change.
  • Horizon scan to ensure legislative and other changes in employment law are identified early, advising the Council to plan for a future-fit workforce.
  • Act as the HR lead on a range of different projects and responsibilities, contributing to the delivery of the People Plan by supporting and influencing a wide range of initiatives, changes, and transformations across the Council.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Graduate CIPD or other equivalent relevant qualification.
  • Significant experience in a management role within HR.
  • Extensive knowledge of Employment legislation and its application in a large diverse organisation.
  • Substantial experience in HR management at a senior level, including monitoring and improving performance.
  • Strong experience in change and transformation within unionised environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver organisational wide projects using project management principles that improve organisational effectiveness.
