Mobile Application Developer – Android / React


Currently recruiting a Mobile Application Developer for an organisation in Wakefield. You’ll play a key role in contributing to their digital transformation strategy through developing and maintaining multiple mobile applications.

You’ll look to identify opportunities where the apps can be scaled or developed, whilst aiming to optimise the user experience and streamline business processes. You’ll collaborate closely with cross functional teams when it comes to deploying new functionality or resolving any issues.

 

Technical Skills

  • Strong experience developing mobile applications in Android using Kotlin
  • React Native development
  • Solid understanding of mobile app architecture
  • Proficient in JavaScript / TypeScript
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and third-party libraries

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain Android mobile applications using Kotlin and React Native
  • Engage with the development team and wider business stakeholders to deliver new functionality
  • Implement UX/UI and integrate with mobile device features
  • Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure a good application performance
  • Identify areas for improving the apps performance and user experience
  • Collaborate in an Agile environment, participating in sprint planning, reviews and daily standups
