You will play a pivotal role in designing, delivering, and optimising automation solutions, ensuring that operational and technical strategies drive efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement. As the Technical Implementation Manager you will:

  • Lead the planning, design, and implementation of technical projects within the national technical department.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to develop innovative automation solutions.
  • Take accountability for the design sign-off of hardware and systems.
  • Oversee the on-site delivery and go-live phases of automation projects.
  • Ensure thorough documentation from project initiation to completion, maintaining high reporting and communication standards.
  • Manage project resources effectively to ensure seamless rollout and execution.
  • Identify, report, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Apply continuous improvement methodologies to enhance technical department processes.
  • Work closely with national technical teams, providing expert project support.
  • Organise and oversee training programs aligned with project rollout to ensure compliance and operational success.
  • Foster a culture of high-quality supply chain processes and challenge existing methodologies to drive innovation.
  • Undertake any additional management responsibilities necessary to fulfil the role.

To be considered for the Technical Implementation Manager role you will need:

  • Proven experience in multiple project management
  • Experience in automated warehouse environments
  • A good technical understanding of automation systems
  • CAD drawing design (desirable)
  • Contractor management experience - on and off site
  • Experience of pharmaceutical distribution environment is highly desirable
  • Project Management certification
  • LEAN (desirable)
  • IOSH or similar qualification (desirable)
  • CAD (desirable)
  • Knowledge of automation interfaces including KNAPP, Butema, Schaefer
