My client in the Leeds area require an experienced Mechanical / Electrical Fitter.The company is a leading manufacturer and supplier ofelectrical power distribution equipment and pioneers of ultimate low loss amorphoustransformer technology. The Role:• Your core duties will be the fitting of various types of distribution and powertransformers• You will prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprintspecifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials• You will assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening partsand subassemblies• You will be expected to maintain the highest level of workmanship standards andproduct quality ensuring products are produced and delivered OTIF to the customers’requirements• You will check and complete all paperwork associated with the works order• Performance of area housekeeping activities, including the prompt reporting ofproblems, shortages or equipment breakdown• Using general workshop machinery and hand tools related to the fitting role• Quality inspection of colleague’s outputSkills, Knowledge & Experience:• Hands on experience of working within a mechanical/electrical engineeringenvironment is essential• The ability to understand mechanical and schematic drawings.• Mechanical or electrical qualification desirable• Ideally apprentice trained• Have good written and verbal communication skills• Experience of working collaboratively with other operations personnel• Ideally experience of working within a continuous improvement environment• Strong attention to detail• Good communication skillsSalary and benefits:• Salary negotiable• 25 days holiday per year plus 8 bank holidays• Company Profit Share Scheme• Two paid breaks• Nine-day fortnight• Healthcare cash plan• Excellent canteen facility with tea, coffee and milk provided• EV salary sacrifice scheme• Pension• Parking on siteIND123
