Futures is seeking a Mechanical Fitter for a manufacturing client in West Yorkshire, responsible for in-house fitting, assembly, and testing of equipment.
The role includes travel to third-party sites in the UK and abroad, often requiring anti-social hours, with a focus on assembling and testing distribution and power transformers.
Candidates must have hands-on experience in a mechanical or electrical engineering environment and should be apprentice trained with the appropriate qualifications.
The position offers a competitive salary, a bonus scheme, and every other Friday off, totaling 24 additional holiday days per year.
A minimum of two years of relevant experience is required for this role.

utures is looking to appoint a Mechanical Fitter for our West Yorkshire based manufacturing client.

You will be responsible for the in-house fitting, assembly and test work and will take a lead on site installing and servicing equipment as and when needed. On offer is a competitive salary, bonus scheme and every other Friday off (an additional 24 days holiday per year).

* Ensure that all equipment is assembled and tested to the highest standard

*Travel to third party sites both in the UK and abroad to build up the equipment and test, sometimes including anti-social hours
* In-house fitting and assembly of various types of distribution and power transformers and electrical equipment.

* Competent user of general workshop machinery and hand tools

*Read and understand mechanical and schematic drawings
* Hands on experience of working within a mechanical/electrical engineering environment is essential
