Futures recruitment are looking to appoint a maintenance support engineer for a manufacturing business based in West Yorkshire, As maintenance support engineer you will be responsible for the day to day maintenance of the facilities including minor electrical mechanical and joinery repairs. The successful maintenance technician will open and close the site, manage contractors and manage any reactive tasks throughout the day.

Day to day duties of the role

  • Support the safety and security of the premises, vehicles and contents thereof.
  • Ensure that the premises are properly maintained, and all lighting and heating systems and equipment are functioning. Undertake minor repairs and decorations as requested.
  • Report any Health and Safety hazards or maintenance/minor works to the Line Manager.
  • Receive deliveries of goods made to the premises and convey such items to other parts of the premises.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Experience within facilities management or a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Proactive approach to problem solving.
