Futures are working with a leading manufacturing business who are committed to quality innovation and continuous improvement. We are looking to appoint a manufacturing engineer to ensure the shop floor is run as efficiently as possible focusing on process improvements, cost reduction and quality.

Roles & Responsibilities
Review current processes and procedures to identify areas of improvement

Develop new processes to optimise shop floor efficiency.
Look to implement cost reduction plans by increasing process capability
Responsible for the monitoring of sample and development products
Lead root cause analyses and implement corrective action.

Lead continuous improvement projects
Responsible for the review and approval of raw material

The ideal manufacturing engineer

Experience within the application of statistical and problem-solving tools
Ideally, FMEA, 8D, Ishikawa, 6 Sigma, SPC
Ability to read engineering drawings
Ability to liaise with other teams to improve/discuss process improvement issues
Previous working experience in manufacturing)
