Job Description:

  • 3D Modelling and Assembly
  • Proficient in creating complex parts and assemblies
  • Simplified block model generation
  • Knowledge of design intent and parametric modelling principles
  • Ability to manage large assemblies efficiently
  • Ability import or export various file formats
  • Proficiency in in sheet metal design
  • Produce detailed 2D drawings with accurate dimensions, tolerances, and annotations. (DWG/DXFs)
  • Create designs optimized for manufacturability
  • Awareness of material properties and their implications on design
  • Knowledge of PDM (Product Data Management) systems

  • Experience with SolidWorks macros or API for automating repetitive tasks
  • Experience working with tools complementary to SolidWorks (e.g. wire & harness)
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing concepts to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
